Move it to Applications
Open the DMG and drag Dimin into your Applications folder before opening it the first time.

Open it
Dimin is Developer ID signed and notarized, so macOS lets it open normally — no Gatekeeper workaround needed. Grant access to a folder if you want to monitor one.

Drop your files
Compress a video, image, or GIF, pick a format and quality, and find the smaller file next to the original.

Good to know
- Move Dimin to Applications first — macOS treats apps opened directly from the Downloads folder differently.
- The build is notarized, so first launch works without special settings. Updates are delivered through Sparkle.
- All processing happens locally. Files are never uploaded, there are no size limits, and Dimin works offline.
- No account, no telemetry, no server. Dimin has nothing of yours except what you drop into it.
- Dimin is an independent, open-source rebrand of ComprestoApp, under the GPL-3.0 license.
