The GPL-3.0 license
Dimin is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation, either version 3 of the License, or (at your option) any later version.
That “free” is the license's own wording and refers to freedom, not price: it means you may run, study, modify, and redistribute the code. It does not mean the app costs nothing. Dimin is free to download, and the first ten files compress free; beyond that it asks for a one-time license key. The GPL permits the project to sell copies of the software, and it equally permits anyone with the source to redistribute their own version.
Dimin is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. See the GNU General Public License for more details.

Dimin is an independent product
Dimin is an independent rebrand of ComprestoApp, the open-source base of CompressX by Dinh Quang Hieu. Dimin uses its own name, icon, and brand; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to CompressX, ComprestoApp, or their author.
The upstream project and its authors retain their rights in the original work. Dimin's changes are released under the same GPL-3.0 license.
Your files are yours
Dimin processes files you choose, on your computer. It claims no ownership in your content and does not send it anywhere. You keep your originals unless you replace them — deleting or replacing an original is your choice, so make sure you have what you need before you do.
Use at your own risk
Compression changes files. Test on a copy first if the result matters, and keep backups of anything you care about. Dimin is provided as-is under the GPL-3.0, without warranty of any kind.
Purchases, billing, and refunds
A Dimin license is a one-time purchase — there is no subscription and nothing renews. Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake, our merchant of record, and the policy shown at checkout is the same one stated here.
A refund is available in these cases: a duplicate or erroneous charge (full refund); a purchase made within the last 14 days whose license key has never been activated (full refund); a license that cannot be activated because of a fault on our side that we cannot fix (full refund). Where the law gives you a right of withdrawal — for example the EU or UK's 14-day cooling-off period for a first purchase — that right is preserved.
Not refundable: license keys that have been activated, past the 14-day window described above; and licenses terminated under the next section for breach of these terms.
To ask for a refund, write to support@getdimin.app from the address you paid with, and include your license key (it starts with “DIM-”) and your order reference. We answer within 2 business days and issue approved refunds to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before disputing it with your bank — it is faster, and we would rather fix it directly.
Breaches and termination
These terms apply for as long as you use Dimin. A license key is personal to you: reselling, sharing, or sublicensing keys, circumventing or attacking the license check, fraudulent chargebacks, or using Dimin for unlawful purposes are serious breaches.
Consequences of a serious breach: we may suspend or terminate the license key, which stops it from activating or validating. No refund is due for a license terminated this way, and any associated license records are removed. Where a breach looks unlawful, we may also report it to the payment provider or the relevant authorities.
If we ever have to stop providing licensing for a reason that is not your breach, affected licenses are refunded in full — that is the one-time price back, since there is nothing left to renew.
You can stop using Dimin at any time; nothing cancels because there is no subscription. To have your license record deleted, see the privacy policy's “Your rights” section or simply write to support@getdimin.app.
